Quilting Services in the TIme of Corona Virus
Dear Community,
Again, we hope you and yours are well, and keeping safe at home. In compliance to our current state mandate, we have temporarily closed the shop to the public. We have only just set up our first Shopify online site for you to purchase needed fabrics and supplies so that you can continue your quilting and sewing safely at home. If you need more than what we have listed online, you can call or email the shop to request specific items by email/phone/curb-side pick up or mailings.

We are continuing our work on completing quilts we already have at the store, in the order they were dropped off. We are aware of deadlines conveyed to us when the quilts were left. We are now beginning to make calls to arrange a time and date for you to pick up curbside as soon as quilts are done. We can mail your quilt to you if you prefer, with the charge depending on the size of the quilt. Because customers cannot enter the store, we ask that you pay for the quilt over the phone before you pick it up. If you wish to retrieve your quilt without quilting, we can make an appointment for that also.
REGARDING NEW QUILT SERVICE DROP OFFS:
REGARDING NEW QUILT SERVICE DROP OFFS:
Because of the complexity of the intake process, we will temporarily not accept new customers. Repeat customers are welcome to mail in your completed quilt service request form and deposit check, found on our website.
This will hold your place in the current quilt service queue. Hopefully, we will be able to accept in-person appointments for drop off by the time we are ready to service your quilt. If you wish to leave a quilt when picking up a finished quilt, that is fine. At the moment, PLEASE DO NOT SEND QUILTS, as we have nowhere safe for them to be if we are not there when the delivery is made.

Please print out the online quilt service form and follow directions to label top of front and back of quilt and fill out the form completely. If you want us to decide thread color and pattern, we will be happy to do so. Please add any ideas about thread color and pattern (especially density) that you have. We will consult with you by phone as needed about estimate and other questions. If you want to wait to decide thread and pattern until the shop is able to open, we can do that too, but meanwhile your quilt will be in the queue. Please put the quilt top, quilt back, form (and binding, if we are also doing that service) together in a bag for us. We will return any cloth bag you give us when the quilt is done.

In need of a project to help others?
Currently, there are a requests for both masks as well as a recent call for isolation gowns. EBHQ is organizing collection/drop off through their EBHQ website, as well as other online resources for mask patterns and where they are needed by state: Keep Calm & Sew a Mask or Isolation Gown.
Also, here's a state-by-state list of which hospitals are accepting homemade masks, and which pattern they prefer, if any.
We will continue to post resources and updates as they are available. In the meantime, be safe and keep quilting!
